Job Description:

CommYOUnity Counselling & Family Support is looking for an independent contractor- Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist to join our team! We are currently looking for a therapist to provide counselling services to children aged 4+ as well as parenting support.

Hours: Part-time OR Full-time as caseload grows- must have the ability to work some evenings and/or weekends. Hours can be flexible.

Salary: $80-$90+ per session

Responsibilities:

- Provide in-person counselling and support to children aged 4+.
- Work with parents to offer education, resources, and parenting strategies to implement at home
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation via the Janeapp (will be provided to you)
- Stay current with best practices in child and adolescent mental health
- Ensure therapy aligns with a neurodiversity-affirming approach, or willingness to learn about this.
- Follow the OCSWSSW or CRPO Code of Ethics
- Communicate with other necessary community supports, including but not limited to, schools and paediatricians as needed.

Requirements:





- Masters of Social Work or Registered Psychotherapist
- Registered with OCSWSSW or CRPO (in good standings)
- Obtain your own professional liability insurance
- Experience working with children and their families
- Experience providing counselling in a clinical role
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Any additional trainings/certifications an asset

Pay: $80.00-$90.00 per hour
