Armstrong Regional Cooperative is looking for a skilled, resourceful and self-motivated Maintenance & Repair Technician to join our team!

Who We Are

Since 1922, Armstrong Regional Cooperative has been proud to serve our communities as a trusted fuel retailer and distributor. Operating across a 160 km radius of Armstrong, we support a diverse network of gas bars, liquor locations, cardlock facilities and commercial properties.

We're a growing organization built on community, teamwork and a commitment to doing things right. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of that growth and take pride in helping maintain the facilities and infrastructure that keep our business moving.

The Prospect

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk kind of job!

As our Maintenance & Repair Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping our locations safe, functional and looking their best. You'll work across multiple sites, tackle a variety of maintenance challenges and have the opportunity to use your skills, initiative and practical know-how every day.

From building repairs and equipment maintenance to troubleshooting problems and coordinating larger projects, no two days will look exactly the same.

We need someone who doesn't wait to be told what needs doing, but takes ownership, sees a problem and works toward a solution.

What You'll Be Doing

- Perform general building,

property and equipment maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of mechanical, plumbing, electrical and structural maintenance issues within your qualifications.
- Inspect and maintain our facilities, fuel sites, equipment and grounds.
- Identify potential maintenance issues before they become bigger problems.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and specialized service providers when required.
- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize work across multiple locations.
- Assist with renovations, upgrades, facility improvements and seasonal maintenance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure work is completed safely and professionally.
- Take pride in keeping our properties clean, safe, presentable and operating efficiently.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in practical, capable people who know their way around tools and aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

Ideally, you bring:

- Previous experience in building maintenance, construction, mechanical repair, property maintenance or a related trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- A good working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing and building systems.
- The ability to work independently, stay organized and manage competing priorities.
- A proactive attitude and pride in the quality of your work.

- A commitment to workplace safety and following proper procedures.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record.
- The ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to respond to occasional urgent maintenance needs.

Experience with fuel facilities, commercial properties, cardlock systems or agricultural equipment is an asset. Related trade certifications or technical training are also welcome.

Why Join Armstrong Regional Cooperative?

We believe in looking after the people who help make our business successful.

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

- Competitive wages
- Company vehicle is provided, allowing you to travel between our locations and carry our maintenance responsibilities
- Company pension plan
- Extended health and dental benefits
- Vision care
- Life and disability insurance
