Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Supervisor for a temporary contract position at a small cigar warehouse in Winnipeg.

This is a hands-on supervisory role working with a small team of approximately 7–10 employees. The Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations, coordinate team activities, monitor productivity and attendance, and ensure the warehouse operates safely and efficiently.

This is a contract position running until the end of December 2026, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support a team of approximately 7–10 warehouse employees
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities and assign tasks
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and employee performance
- Support receiving, shipping, picking, packing, sorting, and inventory activities
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Ensure products are handled and stored properly
- Train and support employees on warehouse procedures and safety requirements
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
- Communicate daily priorities and operational updates to management




- Address day-to-day employee and operational issues
- Assist with general warehouse duties when required
- Perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

- Previous warehouse supervisor or team lead experience required
- Experience managing a small warehouse team is an asset
- Robust leadership and communication skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment
- Experience with inventory, shipping, receiving, or order fulfillment
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily operations
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Must be available to start immediately
- Must be available for the full contract through December 31, 2026
- CSA-approved steel-toe safety shoes required

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, organized, and comfortable leading a small team. Since this is a small warehouse, the Supervisor should be willing to assist with day-to-day warehouse tasks when needed while maintaining overall supervisory responsibilities.
