About Driftwood Senior Care

Driftwood Senior Care provides compassionate, in-home support to seniors who value the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.

We are looking for a Care Worker who enjoys supporting and being around seniors, are dependable, empathetic, and genuinely interested in building meaningful relationships with the clients we support.

Position Responsibilities

As a Care Worker, you will provide practical assistance and companionship in the client’s home. Duties may include:

Providing companionship and spending genuine, quality time with clients

Light cleaning and housekeeping

Laundry and general tidying

Meal preparation

Medication reminders

Light pet care, including dog walking and litter cleaning

Supporting a comfortable, safe, and positive home setting

Appointment and community accompaniment

Treating every client with dignity, patience, respect, and empathy

Following individual client preferences and care routines

This role is about more than completing household tasks. We value care workers who take the time to listen, connect, and make clients feel genuinely supported.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must have:

Current First Aid CPR-C certification

Must hold a valid work permit

Complete a Criminal Record Check

Previous experience working with vulnerable populations

Is available days, evenings and weekends





Can travel around the Vancouver area reliably

1–2 professional references, preferably from the care, health, social services, or community support field

A demonstrated interest in providing empathetic, person-centred care

Experience, education, or training in nursing, medicine, social work, community support work, or a related field is an asset.

Compensation & Hours

$30/hour + paid out vacation at 4%

The position will begin on a casual basis, with the potential for increased hours and full-time employment as the organization grows and the right candidate becomes established within the team.
