Job Summary

The Red Seal Gas fitter class B installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs gas-fired equipment and related systems across manufacturing, construction, HVAC, and plumbing settings. This hands-on role uses mechanical knowledge, tools, and technical drawings to complete safe, accurate work and support reliable operations.

Duties

- Install, service, and maintain gas equipment and associated HVAC and plumbing systems using hand tools and appropriate measuring equipment.
- Read blueprints and schematics, take measurements with calipers, and apply basic math to plan and verify work.
- Perform welding tasks, including MIG and TIG welding, and assist with rigging and equipment placement.
- Identify faults, complete repairs, and coordinate work with colleagues on construction and manufacturing projects.

Qualifications

Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, hand-tool proficiency, blueprint and schematic reading, basic math, and the ability to perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks accurately. Preferred: MIG and TIG welding, broader welding skills, caliper use, rigging familiarity, and construction or manufacturing experience; HVAC and plumbing knowledge are valuable strengths for supporting diverse gas-fitting work.

Pay: $30.22-$50.84 per hour

Expected hours: 7.0 per week
