Registered Mental Health Practitioner — Independent Contractor

Beaches Mental Health (BMH) is seeking qualified, registered mental health practitioners (Social Workers and Psychotherapists) to join our growing clinic as independent contractors.

We provide client-centred CBT and CPT psychotherapy with a focus on anxiety, depression, stress management, and trauma. We welcome practitioners who bring strong clinical judgment, evidence-informed skills, and a thoughtful, collaborative approach to care.

This opportunity is intended for fully qualified practitioners authorized to practise independently. It is not a student placement, practicum, or qualifying position requiring supervision to meet registration requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-informed CBT psychotherapy tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical records.
- Manage consent, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and clinical risk.
- Participate in care coordination and consultation when appropriate and with client consent.
- Maintain registration, qualified liability insurance, and compliance with applicable professional standards.

Required qualifications

- Current registration in good standing as a Registered Social Worker, Registered Psychotherapist,



or Psychologist with the applicable provincial or territorial regulatory body.
- Authorization to provide psychotherapy independently in the jurisdiction where services are delivered.
- Relevant graduate education and clinical training.
- Demonstrated experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, stress, and/or trauma.
- Training and demonstrated competence in CBT; additional evidence-informed approaches are welcome.
- Strong assessment, documentation, and risk management skills.
- Professional liability insurance covering the services provided.
- A private workspace and reliable technology suitable for confidential virtual care.

Contract arrangement:

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Compensation structure, availability, and contract terms will be discussed during the interview process.
