EXD is seeking to hire a manufacturing associate. Operating machines and welding (bending, cutting, expanding, tumbling, etc.)

PURPOSE

Operate CO2 MIG welder to carry out the fabrication of both stainless steel and aluminium products. Learning EXD processes guided by the manufacturing area leader. Operating other machines as required (bending, cutting, expanding, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate CO2 MIG Welder on stainless steel and aluminium
- Operate other machines (pipe bending, cutting, expanding, bend press etc.)
- Complete pre-starts for machines, tools, and equipment before operating
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and safety standards as specified
- Perform material handling when required
- Report scrap, defective parts or material, and any condition (i.e. unsafe or off standard), that may negatively affect production quality and/or quantity.




- Provide back-up support for other job classifications or other duties as required

JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

- MIG welding
- CNC and Bending experience
- Oral and written communication
- Concentration and attention to quality welds
- Strong teamwork skills
- Prioritize projects
- Familiarity with 5S

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- High school education (or equivalent)
- 3+ years’ experience MIG welding (automotive industry preferred)
- Ability to read welding procedures
- Reliable attendance

- Heavy lifting (approx. 50 lbs)
- Extreme seasonal temperatures
- Noisy working environment
- Fast Paced
- Work under minimum supervision
- Welding fumes, heat, and glare from equipment.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
