We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Deckhands in Blacks Harbour to work aboard harvest vessels. This role involves a 1 week on, 1 week off schedule where you're traveling away from home for your weeks on. This is an ongoing assignment for candidates who are comfortable working in a marine environment, travelling between locations, and adapting to a variable work schedule. Transportation and hotel accommodations will be provided for crew members as required.
Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily operations aboard harvest vessels.
- Support harvesting activities and other assigned duties.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with crew members to ensure efficient operations.
- Assist with handling equipment, loading, unloading, and other physical tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.




- Follow instructions from supervisors and vessel crew.
- Travel between Blacks Harbour, Deer Island, and Nova Scotia as required.

Requirements
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
- Willingness to work aboard harvest vessels.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts based on operational needs.
- Willingness to travel between locations as required.
- Ability to complete a required background check.
- Robust teamwork, reliability, and a safety-conscious attitude.
- A current, valid passport is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in marine operations, fishing, harvesting, or deckhand work may be considered an asset.
