Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior .NET Core Developer (.NET MAUI / Mobile)

On-site in the Edmonton area, Alberta

About the company

Our client is breaking new ground in IoT, serving construction, oil and gas, and mining, and is backed by one of Canada's largest construction groups. The team is about 50 people and expects to double in size over the next year. Hardware engineering, software, BAs and support all sit in the same room, so the team is very collaborative.

The role

This role replaces a developer who is moving on. You will own the company's .NET MAUI mobile app, which is part of a legacy application that has been in development for 3 to 4 years. The work is mainly maintenance, plus adding features as needed while a new platform is built. After about 3 months, the role is expected to move onto a ground-up rewrite of the mobile app for the new microservices platform.

Must have

- Production experience with .NET MAUI. This is mandatory: the app has already moved from Xamarin to MAUI,

and you need to hit the ground running.
- Strong back-end .NET Core / C# development.
- Comfort getting up to speed on, and supporting, an existing codebase.
- Strong internal team communication.

Nice to have
- Cross-platform work on both iOS and Android. Experience on only one platform is not a deal breaker.
- Experience with IoT or hardware-connected software.

Team

This is a small mobile team of a couple of developers. There is no pecking order: they split the work and work in tandem.

Interview process

1. Technical interview, 45 to 60 minutes.
2. Company-fit interview, about 30 minutes.

Compensation

$130K CAD base, flexible for an exceptional candidate. Health and dental benefits.

In office 5 days a week is strongly preferred. Remote is considered only for a standout candidate who can align their hours with the team in the office.
