We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Lawyer to join the firm's growing Family Law group. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who is looking to take ownership of complex family law matters, maintain and grow their practice, and become a key contributor within a respected and expanding legal team.

The Chance

This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated and meaningful Family Law matters while benefiting from the resources, support, and collaboration of a full-service law firm.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of family law files, provide strategic advice to clients, represent clients through negotiations and court proceedings, and play an important role in the continued growth of the firm's Family Law practice.

The ideal candidate is an experienced family lawyer with strong advocacy skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to independently manage complex matters while contributing positively to a collaborative legal environment.

Key Responsibilities





- Manage and advance a broad range of complex Family Law matters, including separation, divorce, parenting disputes, custody and access, support issues, and property division.
- Provide strategic legal advice and practical solutions tailored to clients' unique circumstances.
- Draft, review, and negotiate family law agreements, pleadings, affidavits, financial statements, and other legal documentation.
- Represent clients in court appearances, motions, conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
- Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation and negotiation strategies.
- Maintain strong client relationships through trusted advice, clear communication, and exceptional service.
- Work collaboratively with lawyers and professionals across other practice areas where multidisciplinary support is required.
- Contribute to the continued development and growth of the Family Law group through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and business development initiatives.

Qualifications
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing Family Law.
- Extensive experience managing complex family law matters independently.
- Strong legal drafting, advocacy, negotiation, and litigation skills.
- Proven ability to provide strategic advice and effectively represent clients.




- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong client-focused approach.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of legal work.
- Strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Full or partial portable practice is required.
- Desire to contribute to the growth and success of a Family Law practice through mentorship and leadership.
