About the Role

Patron Career Staffing is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Business Developer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with prospective clients, and supporting the growth of our staffing and recruitment services across British Columbia.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys business-to-business sales, relationship building, client outreach, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking, and other business development activities.

- Research prospective companies and identify their staffing and recruitment requirements.

- Contact HR Managers, Operations Managers, Plant Managers, Warehouse Managers, Business Owners, and other decision-makers.

- Introduce Patron Career Staffing's temporary, temp-to-permanent, permanent, and direct-hire staffing solutions.

- Build and maintain robust, professional relationships with new and existing clients.

- Conduct client needs assessments to understand workforce requirements, hiring challenges, and staffing timelines.

- Prepare and present staffing solutions tailored to client requirements.

- Schedule meetings and follow-ups with prospective and existing clients.

- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, client communications, and business development activities.

- Follow up consistently with prospective clients to convert leads into active accounts.

- Monitor market trends, local hiring activity, and potential staffing opportunities.





- Collaborate with recruiters and internal teams to ensure client requirements are communicated effectively.

- Support client onboarding, service agreements, and ongoing account development.

- Meet established business development and client acquisition targets.

- Represent Patron Career Staffing professionally at networking events, industry meetings, and other business development opportunities.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in business development, sales, staffing/recruitment, account management, customer service, or a related field is an asset.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

- Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with prospective business clients.

- Solid email and professional written communication skills.

- Ability to identify decision-makers and develop new business relationships.

- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, CRM systems, and other business development tools.

- Results-oriented with a professional and positive approach.

- Previous experience in the staffing or recruitment industry is considered an asset.
