The Opportunity:

BluMetric is seeking a full time Controller to join its finance leadership team at its Ottawa headquarters. Reporting to the Vice President, Director – Finance, the Controller will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, financial close and internal financial reporting. The Controller will also be responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management of the annual external audit process. The Controller will provide leadership, guidance, and development to a team, while driving process improvements and maintaining effective financial controls. This is an existing vacancy within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:





- Own the full cycle accounting close process including month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Lead and manage audit related activities.
- Manage the preparation and filing of monthly and annual sales tax remittances and coordinate corporate tax documentation with external tax consultants.
- Manage and oversee the daily transactional operations of the accounting department including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and balance sheet
