Role: Software Developer

Company: Confidential until discussion is held

Location: West GTA

Compensation: $65k to $85k + Annual Bonus + 3 Weeks Vacation (Additional time off - 2 PTO days and 12 Sick days) + Strong Benefits + Education reimbursement + Full work hardware

Responsibilities:

- 2 to 4 years experience with design, build, and maintain software applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem to support core business operations.

- Contribute to user-facing development work by creating and improving interface components with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.

- Develop, query, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure robust application performance, stability, and data integrity.

- Apply object-oriented programming principles to produce scalable, maintainable, and well-structured code across new and existing systems.

- Integrate web services and internet-based technologies into application solutions while following secure web development practices.





- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical team members to translate business needs into effective software enhancements and technical solutions.

- Support code quality and deployment efficiency by participating in automated build processes and continuous integration practices where applicable.

- Use Microsoft Visual Studio and related development tools to troubleshoot issues, test functionality, and deliver reliable releases.

Requirements:

- 2 to 4 years of software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in C# and .NET technologies.

- Practical experience working with .NET Core and .NET Framework in a production environment.

- Exposure to front-end development using React or Angular, along with solid JavaScript knowledge.

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and modern software development practices.

- Proven experience with relational databases, including writing queries and improving SQL Server performance.

- Familiarity with web services, internet technologies, and secure web application processing.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server development tools.

- Previous experience in the insurance or broader financial services sector would be considered an asset.
