Senior Accountant – Audit
Location: York Region, Greater Toronto Area

Our client is a well-established, full-service CPA firm serving private businesses and not-for-profit organizations through audit, tax, and advisory services. The firm is built on integrity, teamwork, and excellence, and is seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. Responsibilities

- Lead and perform audit and review engagements for private businesses and not-for-profit organizations, and review the work of junior associates
- Meet with Boards of Directors and/or Audit Committees to present audit and review results
- Prepare or review compilation engagements
- Handle government reporting (GST/HST, payroll, T3010)
- Prepare or review personal and corporate income tax returns
- Respond to client inquiries and requests with added value
- Supervise and train other staff members
- Take on other responsibilities and projects as required

Qualifications

- CPA designation




- Minimum of 3–5 years of public accounting experience, including audit
- Passion for building a broader knowledge base in business and taxation
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills, written and oral
- Team-oriented and client-focused thinking
- Honesty, integrity, promptness, and ethical behaviour

Compensation: $85,000 – $100,000 plus overtime, commensurate with experience and reviewed annually based on performance. Group benefits, an RSP plan with company matching, and inclusion in the firm’s annual bonus plan are also available.
