Intermediate Accountant – Audit
Location: York Region, Greater Toronto Area

Our client is a well-established, full-service CPA firm serving small to mid-sized owner-managed businesses at every stage of their life cycle. The firm is built on integrity, teamwork, and excellence, and is seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. Responsibilities

- Perform audit and review engagements for private businesses and not-for-profit organizations (you may be required to meet with Boards of Directors or Audit Committees to present audit and review results)
- Prepare working papers for compilation engagements
- Handle government reporting (GST/HST, payroll, etc.)
- Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns
- Provide clerical and administrative support
- Respond to client inquiries and requests with added value
- Take on other responsibilities and projects as required

Qualifications





- At least 3 years of public accounting experience in the audit field
- Passion for building a broader knowledge base in business and taxation
- Robust knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills, written and oral
- Team-oriented and client-focused thinking
- Honesty, integrity, promptness, and ethical behaviour

Compensation: $60,000 – $75,000 plus overtime, commensurate with experience and reviewed annually based on performance. Group benefits and an RSP plan with company matching are also available.
