I'm looking for someone that can help us load Turkeys onto trucks so they can be sent to the processing plant. The job consists of grabbing turkeys and placing them into cages on the turkey moving trailers. We use a special machine to get the birds out of the barn so all that needs to be done is they need to get lifted off the conveyor belt and put in the cages. We work Sun
- Thurs evening. The amount of days that we work a week changes all the time, sometimes we work 1 or 2 days a week and sometimes we'll work 5 days. We always leave for work by around 5-6 pm and we're usually home between midnight and 1 or 2 am. Sometimes we're home a little earlier and very seldommly we're home later than 2.
I drive everyone to and from the job site and some of the farms we travel to are almost 2 hours away so a decent amount of the job is just spent riding around in the truck. The job is fairly physically so I am looking for someone that is fairly strong in their upper body. There's not tons of walking just more of a repetitive motion of moving birds. We usually leave from wetaskiwin so depending on where you live there's not much driving involved.
