Job Title : Research Assistant - Level 1 Department : Research Centre Location : College Drive Campus - North Bay, ON Status : Temporary Part time Contract Duration : ASAP - August 2026 Hours Per Week : Up to 24 hours Pay Rate : $20.59/hour + 6% vacation pay Application Deadline : Friday, March 27, 2026 - 12:00 p.m. The Research Assistant - Level 1 will support researchers (Research Project Coordinator, Faculty and Staff) with project deliverables, including development of prototypes, conduct literature reviews, and drat technical documentation. The incumbent will attend team meetings, communicate regularly with the research team on task(s) progress, conduct software tests, operate equipment (under supervision), and be responsible for data entry.

Qualifications :

- Minimum 2 year Diploma in a related field for Office Administration
- Understanding and/or working knowledge of the targeted research project field
- Strong technology and information management skills
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Sound judgement and problem solving skills,



and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer and office technology; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) required
- Must be able to reliably commute daily and/or relocate to North Bay, ON required

Responsibilities :

- Search literature relevant to the project
- Complete literature reviews as applicable to research questions and/or objectives
- Analyze literature for relevant themes and gaps to inform research project
- Work with the project team to make amendments to literature to further understanding
- Attend all team meetings and complete minutes as appropriate
- Enter data that is relevant to the project into databases provided by the project team
- Create various project work plans and/or reports under the supervision of the Project Coordinator or Investigator(s)
- Support project team with various document development such as spreadsheets, reports, databases, forms and work-based documents
