Blackrose Whiskey Club is a modern whiskey bar and restaurant known for handcrafted cocktails, elevated comfort food, live entertainment, and one of the largest whiskey selections in the province. We combine an upscale atmosphere with approachable hospitality and are looking for a strong leader to help drive daily operations, guest experience, and team culture.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and leads by example.

Position Overview

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, staff leadership, guest satisfaction, inventory control, and day-to-day service execution. This role requires strong leadership, organization, communication skills, and the ability to maintain high standards during busy service periods.

This is not a sit-in-the-office management role — we are looking for someone who is present on the floor, supports the team, and helps create an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities :

- Lead and supervise front-of-house operations during service
- Hire, train, schedule, and mentor staff
- Maintain high standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control
- Work closely with ownership and kitchen leadership on operations and promotions
- Ensure liquor, health, and safety regulations are followed
- Monitor labour costs and daily sales performance
- Support event nights including trivia, karaoke,



live music, and special promotions
- Help build a positive team culture and maintain staff accountability
- Assist with social media engagement and promotional execution when needed
- Coordinate opening and closing procedures
- Maintain a strong presence during peak evening and weekend shifts

Qualifications :

- Previous restaurant or bar management experience required
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Experience with POS systems and scheduling software
- Knowledge of liquor service and hospitality standards
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to lead by example and motivate a team
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Whiskey, cocktail, or nightlife knowledge is considered an asset
