Position Overview

Lucky Supermarket is seeking an experienced Seafood District Manager to oversee seafood operations across multiple store locations in Edmonton. This role is responsible for driving sales, maintaining premium seafood quality, ensuring food safety compliance, and standardizing seafood operations across Asian and Western-format stores.

Key Responsibilities Multi-Store Operations

- Oversee seafood departments across all Edmonton Lucky Supermarket locations
- Standardize seafood merchandising, pricing, and presentation
- Manage inventory levels, shrink control, and waste reduction

Seafood Sourcing & Quality

- Manage fresh, frozen, and live seafood programs
- Work with local and international seafood suppliers
- Ensure consistent quality, freshness, and availability
- Oversee live seafood systems where applicable

Food Safety & Compliance

- Enforce HACCP, CFIA, and Alberta Health Services standards
- Conduct regular department audits and inspections
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and cold-chain procedures

Sales & Performance

- Analyze sales trends and department KPIs




- Develop promotions aligned with cultural holidays (e.g., Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival)
- Drive margin improvement and revenue growth

Leadership & Training

- Hire, train, and mentor Seafood Department Managers
- Standardize cutting, cleaning, and customer service practices
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching

Qualifications :

- 5+ years experience in grocery seafood management
- Multi-store or district-level experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Asian and Western seafood products
- Experience with live seafood handling is an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

How to Apply

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
