The position : Commercial Auto Territory Manager

Territory : Southern Alberta

Reporting to : Sales Manager

Salary : Base salary + commission.

The Job

In this role you will work with new and existing accounts, building long-term customer relationships. You will aggressively source new business opportunities as well as maintain existing relationships through a combination of techniques, including networking, cold calling, supplied advertising, direct mailings with follow-up, and other proactive prospecting methods.

- Work with a broad range of auction consignors who have remarketing needs for their surplus commercial vehicles, heavy-light duty trucks and miscellaneous items.
- Work with companies in various related industries, including construction, oilfield, equipment sales and rental, mining, transportation, utilities, government, etc.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry as it pertains to the commercial retail, construction, and transportation sectors.
- Drive revenue through fees associated with our remarketing and consignment services.




- Gather market intelligence and develop a strategy/plan to effectively grow and manage consignments in your assigned territory and existing Michener Allen Auctioneering client base.
- Conduct and present research on potential new customers and how you may convert them into current business.
- Developing and delivering superior proposals and presentations showing business value to customers and prospects
- Establish and grow relationships with senior management within target accounts.
- Attending and staffing tradeshows/ attending key association meetings.
- Social media management-LinkedIn, Instagram, website, etc.

The Person

Essential Requirements

- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Have 3-5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in commercial business or sales dealership environment, inside or outside sales and large accounts.
- Proven revenue attainment record through proactive lead generation and consultative selling techniques.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have excellent business presentation skills.
- Familiarity and experience with internet technologies and sales.
- Background in the areas which would be helpful includes new and used automotive sales, commercial rental business, consignments, etc.
