Key Duties of a Starbucks Barista

- Customer Service : Baristas greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and ensure a positive experience. They address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Beverage Preparation : They prepare a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to Starbucks standards, mastering techniques for crafting espresso shots, steaming milk, and creating signature drinks.
- Store Maintenance : Baristas maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the café area, kitchen, and restroom facilities. They follow health and safety regulations to ensure a hygienic environment for both customers and staff.
- Cash Handling : They accurately process customer transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit,



and gift card payments securely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management : Baristas assist in monitoring inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, participating in stock counts and communicating with management regarding low inventory or product shortages.

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
