Pre-Board Screening Officer What do Pre-Board Screening Officers do?

You will be using your exceptional customer service skills to uphold the safety of passengers and create a positive travel experience by:

- Efficiently screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints
- Scanning and testing baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors and other technology, along with physical search techniques
- Providing information professionally and with integrity
- Confirming valid boarding passes
- Protecting restricted areas
- Managing conflict
- Communicating clearly and effectively
- Upholding all regulations with vigilance

You will receive paid training $25.24/hour , increasing to $28.25/hour following the successful completion of training and full certification.

What You Bring :

- Excellent customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume setting for a minimum of one (1) year
- Open availability to work any shift as required by the airport operations, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; fluency in French is an asset
- Ability to comply with the CATSA medical requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

This position is fully based at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
