Clinical Associate, Food Animal Field Service, Veterinary Medical Centre : The Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) is seeking a qualified veterinarian to join our food animal ambulatory service team within the Veterinary Medical Centre (VMC). The successful applicant must have a proven interest in food animal practice and an interest in coaching and mentoring veterinary students. This position offers predictable work and on-call schedule that will be shared by other veterinarians in the service, which currently includes four other practitioners.

Primary Purpose : The Food Animal Field Service (FAFS) Clinical Associate provides food animal ambulatory service to clients of the VMC. This position also participates in the clinical instruction, supervision, and mentorship of students enrolled in the undergraduate Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Program.

Typical Duties or Accountabilities : Duties will include:

- Provision of clinical service, including on-call and afterhours, to clients of the food animal ambulatory practice and bovine reproductive service at the VMC.
- Participation in the teaching and mentorship of veterinary undergraduate students.
- Ensuring the maintenance and growth of the caseload of the food animal ambulatory and reproductive services at the VMC.
- Assistance in providing additional teaching duties as assigned.

Experience :



Experience in mixed or food animal practice is considered desirable but is not a requirement.
