Overnight Laboratory Assistant - Sample Receiving, Data Entry & Customer Support

Location : Vancouver, BC Shift : Permanent Overnight Shift (Approximately 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Education : Bachelor of Science (BSc) required

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly independent individual to join our team as an Overnight Laboratory Assistant.

This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working independently in a quiet environment. The overnight shift has very few staff present, and much of the work is performed alone with mínimal supervision.

Responsibilities

- Receive and accession laboratory samples
- Verify sample information and documentation
- Perform accurate data entry and data verification
- Respond professionally and clearly to customer inquiries
- Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
- Work independently with mínimal supervision throughout the shift

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or higher
- Excellent written English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other standard office software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work independently and stay productive without direct supervision
- Reliable, mature, and professional work habits
