Job Summary Are you a post-secondary student looking to gain hands-on experience in agriculture, communications, and event planning?

Join our team this summer to support communications, outreach, and office coordination efforts within Alberta's agriculture sector.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests and manage front desk reception duties
- Assist with social media content creation, website updates, and video interviews
- Support data entry, database updates, and document management
- Help plan and deliver summer events like parades, Open Farm Days, and the annual golf tournament
- Represent ASBG at community events and engage with stakeholders
- Develop content for the annual social media calendar with support from the Membership & Communications Coordinator (MCC)

Requirements :

- Be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program: Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment*
- A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada




- Possess robust written and verbal communication skills
- Be highly organized and self-motivated
- Have an interest in agriculture, public relations, or marketing (an asset)
- Be available for some evenings and occasional Saturday events
- Must have a valid Class 5 license and a reliable vehicle as travel is required.

*No previous experience is required. International students are not eligible

Supervision & Support

You will be supported by the Membership & Communications Coordinator through regular one-on-one check-ins, skill development sessions, and access to professional resources.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
