Overview

- This position requires flexibility to work at two different locations: iCare Medical Centre, 5945 Jeanne D'Arc Blvd S, Orléans, ON K1C 2N1

iCare Surgical Centre, 2148 Carling Ave #205, Ottawa, ON K2A 4E2

The specific location will be communicated in advance. Applicants must be willing to commute to either location as needed.

- Bilingual applicants are preferred but it is not required.

Responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive patient care experience.
- Warmly greet patients and provide information about our services.
- Manage patient scheduling, including managing patient referrals, appointment bookings, follow-ups, confirmations, and rescheduling requests.
- Ensure the accuracy and organization of medical records by scanning, sorting, and filing documents into patient charts within the EMR system.
- Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information to ensure all details are current and accurate.
- Oversee the smooth flow of patients by efficiently managing check-in and check-out procedures.
- Process payments using POS systems and direct billing with precision,



ensuring accurate and timely transactions.

Experience

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and team members.
- Previous experience in a reception or customer service role is preferred, ideally in an optometry or medical office workplace.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency with Epic software is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in French are preferred.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
