To achieve this, they will recognize the diversity of families and take into account their support network. Students will also be able to use their competencies in observing and supporting children in the domains of their overall development to support the families, while respecting everyone’s roles and responsibilities. By the end of the course, students will have grasped the advantages of an inclusive, community-based approach to education. - Required Qualifications:



- Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 2 years of teaching experience, or a DEC in Early Childhood Education or Special Care Counselling or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a daycare setting. Being familiar with different communication methods and techniques such as cross-cultural, ethical, and interpersonal is an asset. Teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, Special Care Counselling, or a related program such as Special Needs Education, Inclusive Education or Social Work is an asset. Integration Consultancy with Child Care Centres and/or experience working with specific clients groups such as indigenous communities, refugees and immigrants, as well as experience working with parents of children with special needs, more specifically children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is strongly recommended. This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.
