Nice to meet you! Canela Bakery & Cafe is urgently seeking a full time experienced Baker! Canela is Calgary's first fully vegan bakery operating in the heart of Inglewood. You could become part of our team of skilled bakers and pastry artists in a fun and creative environment. If you like to create innovative items in the kitchen and want to know more about vegan bakery, then we have the job for you!

Requirements :

- A diploma in baking, culinary, or gastronomy from an accredited institution;
- Has at least 1 years experience in bakery production OR is recently graduated from the SAIT Baking and Pastry Arts program;
- Available to work Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7:00am-3:00pm (30-35 hours/week);
- Is detailed oriented;
- Is innovative in the kitchen;
- Proven experience in working alongside peers in the kitchen; and
- Able to work efficiently under tight deadlines

Assets :

- Knowledge about vegan baking and pastry-making




- Experience with ordering raw materials, inventory, and other logístical challenges that may arise throughout the tenure of the job

What's in it for you? Not only will you be compensated by the hour, but the benefits include: tips incurred on a semi-monthly basis, free food and drink on the clock, store discounts on food to-go, and overtime and holiday pay when necessary. Pay ranges from $16.00-$17.00/hour based on experience. Baker's share of tips generally adds an average of $1.50-$3/hour on top of hourly pay.
