Job Summary : Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager and under general supervision of the Dietary Lead Hand, the Cook is responsible for meal preparation and delivery in a manner consistent with all regulations as specified by the Long-Term Care Homes Act and related acts.

Qualifications / Requirements :

- Successful completion of Food Service Worker program as mandated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three years’ experience in institutional food service and experience in large quantity food preparation and cooking.
- Completion of Certified Food Handling course through local Public Health Unit.
- Ability to lift 21 kg or 50 lbs
