Alforno Bakery & Cafe is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Pastry Cook to join its pastry team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about baking, organization, and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The Night Pastry Cook works under the Pastry Sous Chef and Pastry Chef, aiming for consistent, high-calibre food presentation. This opportunity allows individuals to refine skills, be part of a growth-oriented team, and embrace a meticulous approach to culinary excellence.

Evening/Night Shift

Start time: 4:00 PM

Weekends and holidays required based on business needs

What are the duties to perform:

- Weigh, measure, and portion ingredients
- Demonstrated creativity in food
- Sound knowledge of the preparation of baked goods and desserts
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and dough preparation equipment
- Receive, store, and organize food supplies in storage areas
- Innovative, detail-oriented, quality-conscious

- A minimum of 1 year of pastry experience in a similar environment
- A diploma or degree in Pastry & Baking Culinary Arts or an equivalent field is an asset
- A valid Food Safety Certificate is required to ensure safety and quality standards

- Extensive food handling and sanitation knowledge
- Self-motivated, positive, professional
- Recognizes and follows foodservice trends
