About the Role

St. Charles Country Club is seeking a reliable and motivated Breakfast & Prep Cook to join our culinary team.

This role is responsible for executing breakfast service while completing prep work that helps set the culinary team up for success throughout the day. Responsibilities include preparing breakfast items, organizing mise en place, stocking stations, and assisting with daily food prep for lunch, banquet, and evening service.

Our kitchen operates across upscale casual dining, banquets and events, and on-course concessions, offering cooks the opportunity to gain broad culinary experience in a professional club environment.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook breakfast service items
- Complete daily prep and maintain organized mise en place




- Prepare ingredients and stock stations for later service periods
- Follow recipes, plating standards, and food safety practices
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a breakfast, line cook, or prep cook role
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills
- Versatile availability including mornings and weekends
- Food Handler Certification considered an asset
- Culinary training or Red Seal certification considered an asset
- Access to reliable transportation (not serviced by bus routes)
- Passion for hospitality and making people happy through great food
