Shaughnessy Restaurant is seeking an experienced and motivated Line Cook to join our team at one of Vancouver’s most picturesque restaurant settings, located within VanDusen Botanical Garden .

Our kitchen focuses on seasonal, house-made cuisine and supports both regular restaurant service and a high-volume catering, wedding, and events program . We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, works well under pressure, and brings a positive, team-first attitude to the kitchen.

Key responsibilities :

- Prepare and cook menu items to standard
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain quality, consistency, and cleanliness
- Keep stations, storage areas, fridges, and freezers organized




- Help reduce waste and support efficient kitchen operations
- Ensure readiness for next day’s service
- Work collaboratively and professionally with the kitchen team

What we’re looking for :

- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Grill and brunch experience is an asset
- Culinary training is preferred but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
