Our client, logistics and transportation operations is seeking a Drayage Dispatcher to join their team. As a Drayage Dispatcher, you will be part of the transportation operations department supporting daily drayage movement coordination. The ideal candidate will have proactive thinking, clear and professional communication, and strong customer service instincts, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Pay Range: $21

Shift: days

What's the Job?

- Plan and dispatch daily container movements, balancing driver availability, equipment, appointments, and customer requirements.
- Monitor daily progress, anticipate delays, and adjust plans to keep freight moving.
- Recognize capacity and operational limits early and communicate realistic commitments.
- Work closely with the Customer Service Representative (CSR) team to keep clients informed of delays, changes, and solutions.
- Maintain accurate, timely information in the transportation management system.

What's Needed?
- Previous drayage dispatch experience.
- Strong knowledge of local roads, service areas, ports, and rail terminals.
- Clear, professional communication and strong customer service skills.
- Proactive thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
- A collaborative approach, accountability, and consistent follow-through.
