Empringham Disposal is growing, and we are looking for reliable, safety‑focused Class 5 Driver with Air Brake (Q) endorsement to join our operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety—your day may include operating hook-lift and picker trucks, delivering bins, performing Molok servicing, and supporting our Operations team with a variety of tasks that keep our equipment and bins in top condition.

Our team provides a full range of solid waste and recycling solutions, including municipal collection, roll‑off container service, commercial front‑load programs, and waste transfer operations.

Key Responsibilities

Driving and Equipment Operation

- Operate hook-lift trucks and picker equipment for bin delivery and removal
- Perform Molok servicing, including pumping, cleaning, and minor maintenance
- Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections in compliance with Alberta regulations
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload waste containers

General Labour & Bin Maintenance

- Install, replace, and repair lids, hinges, wheels, locking mechanisms, and other bin components, conduct general bin maintenance
- Assist with yard organization, equipment cleaning, and shop housekeeping
- Participate in seasonal tasks such as snow clearing, yard cleanup, and outdoor repairs

Customer Service & Documentation

- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Maintain accurate paperwork, service logs, and safety documentation

Safety & Compliance

- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks.




- Report incidents, near misses, or injuries promptly and accurately.
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations.

Education and Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with air brake (Q) endorsement (or equivalent provincial requirement)
- Clean driver’s abstract with a strong safety record.
- Previous experience operating hook-lift and/ or picker equipment would be an asset
- Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors year‑round.

- Physical stamina to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and maneuver materials and containers.

Working Conditions

- Outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).

- Steel toed boots are required. This is considered a safety-sensitive position

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
