- Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight over long or short distances
- Load and unload cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, routes, and vehicle logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Assist with warehouse operations including freight handling and inventory management when required
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving,
preferably with freight transportation
- Familiarity with forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair is a plus
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight handling and logistics coordination preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
- Robust knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
