We deliver services in Home Automation, Security, Fibre Optics, Networking, and Telecommunications. As we expand across Vancouver Island, we’re looking for motivated subcontractors who excel in sales, customer interaction, and technology‑driven problem solving.

This is a full‑time subcontractor position with uncapped earning potential , combining in‑home sales with installation and repair of TELUS services. You’ll work directly with customers in their homes, identify their needs, recommend TELUS solutions, and close sales, while also completing the associated installations.

We provide training for the technical components, so your sales ability and customer engagement are what matter most.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales‑Focused Responsibilities

- Promote, present, and sell TELUS products and services
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Overcome objections and close sales professionally
- Explain service options, pricing, and any applicable charges
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and strong communication
- Represent the TELUS brand with professionalism and integrity





Technical Responsibilities

- Install and repair TELUS Home Services (internet, TV, phone, security)
- Trace, install, and terminate copper, coax, Cat5e/Cat6, and fiber optic wiring
- Complete required testing, documentation, and work order close‑outs
- Meet TELUS quality standards and key performance metrics
- Re-stock equipment and supplies regularly from our local warehouse
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE

Work Environment Expectations

- Work independently in customers’ homes
- Adapt to a fast‑paced, dynamic schedule
- Handle both positive and challenging customer interactions
- Work indoors, outdoors, in attics, crawlspaces, and all weather conditions
- Work at heights up to 30 feet and lift up to 50 lbs.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong sales ability and confidence in customer‑facing situations

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Self‑motivated, independent, and comfortable working alone

- Tech‑minded with the ability to learn new systems quickly (we provide training) :

- Solid problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

- Organized, punctual, and able to manage appointment schedules

- Willingness to work evenings and weekends

- Normal color vision (required for wiring)





- Valid Class 5 driver’s license

- Legally able to work in Canada

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED)

- Sales experience (major asset)
- TELUS or Shaw installation/repair experience (major asset)
- Home or business security installation
- Fiber optic installation/splicing
- Customer service background
- Data/electrical wiring experience

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

You must be able to provide:

- Incorporated business number

- Proof of liability insurance naming Tech‑Link Technical Solutions Ltd. as additional insured

- GST number

- WCB clearance letter

- Copper and fibre tools

- PPE and safety equipment

- Ladders

- White van/truck/SUV with ladder rack :

- Windows laptop/tablet

- Cell phone

- Class 5 driver’s license

- Fall Protection certification (can take the course during training)

- Security systems license (to be acquired by the end of the training)

- Clear criminal background check (needed for security system installer license)

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
