Warehouse Order Picker/Packer

Description

The Picker/Packer will be responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled from the warehouse inventory while meeting all productivity and accuracy standards.

Compensation, Hours

$16.50 / Hour, Full-Time

Hours: 10 AM to 6:30 PM (hours vary due to business needs), Overtime as needed.

Major Responsibilities

- Pull customer orders
- Maintain minimum lines per hour productivity requirements and works with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accuracy while pulling orders
- Act professionally and remain focused while working
- Safely operate all warehouse equipment
- Ability to follow directions
- Perform cleaning activities as required
- Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements :

- Ability to follow detailed instructions/detailed oriented
- Ability to use electronic devices
- Have the physical strength and dexterity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to Stand and walk for 8+ hours per day
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers quickly and accurately
- Ability to read and understand pick tickets written in English




- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when needed

Physical Demands

In performing the job of a Puller, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs. Moderate Hand-Eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing is required for the operation of warehouse machinery.

Working Setting

The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
