Department :Warehouse / Grocery Reports to :Warehouse Lead, Grocery Manager Direct Reports :None Work Location :Various within Calgary Position Type :Part-Time Hourly Position Overview : The Warehouse Support / Grocery Clerk role is a part time position designed to support Amaranth’s warehouse operations initially, with the potential to transition into a part-time Grocery Clerk role at one of our market store locations.

In the warehouse, this position supports the movement of inventory through receiving, organizing, picking, packing, and preparing product for transfer or shipment. In a store-based Grocery Clerk role, this position supports the daily operations of the Grocery Department by stocking and organizing shelves, rotating product, maintaining cleanliness, supporting receiving, and providing friendly, helpful customer service.

Priority Accountabilities : These are the outcomes the team member is accountable for, as outlined in the accountability chart. These outcomes include, but are not limited to:

- Warehouse Support :Assist with the day-to-day movement of inventory in and out of the warehouse, including receiving, organizing, picking, packing,



and preparing product for transfer or shipment. This reflects the warehouse JD’s focus on supporting shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and order preparation.
- Inventory Accuracy and Organization : Maintain accurate stock organization in the warehouse or store backroom, including proper product placement, tidy overstock areas, and explicit communication around discrepancies, damages, or missing product.
- Shelves Full and Organized :When working in a market store location, ensure shelves, coolers, and freezers are stocked, faced, clean, accurately priced, and organized, consistent with the Grocery Clerk accountabilities.
- Quality Control :Follow best practices for rotation, product dating, damage handling, and product quality. Use FIFO principles and report expired, damaged, mis-shipped, or poor-quality products promptly.
- Customer Service : When working in a store location, deliver friendly, helpful, and proactive customer service. Assist customers with product location, answer questions where able, and connect customers with department experts as needed.
- Build Trust :Uphold store standards, demonstrate reliability, and maintain clear communication with team members, vendors, and customers.

Secondary Accountabilities : These accountabilities support the effective completion of the Priority Accountabilities:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, backroom,



and/or grocery department environment. -Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and report hazards, damages, or discrepancies promptly. -Work collaboratively with the Warehouse Lead, Store Manager, Grocery Manager, and team members to support daily priorities. -Support receiving, stocking, product transfers, and general department support as needed. -Assist other departments during peak times or operational needs, where appropriate. -Participate actively in training, meetings, and cross-department support. -Support store cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and general tidying.

Tactical Responsibilities : These are the processes that the team member is responsible for executing:

- Receive incoming shipments and verify product quantities and condition against purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, or transfer documents. -Assist with unloading, organizing, labeling, and storing inventory in designated warehouse, backroom, cooler, freezer, or sales floor locations. -Pick, pack, and prepare orders for transfer or shipment accurately and in a timely manner. -Stock, down-stock, face, and rotate product with attention to quality, pricing, and presentation standards. -Support inventory control through stock counts, cycle counts, and general inventory organization. -Manage back stock proactively and maintain organized storage areas. -Assist with shipping, receiving, transfer, and product documentation to ensure records are completed accurately. -Identify and communicate product damages, discrepancies, shortages, expiry concerns, or mis-shipped items. -Maintain awareness of current promotions and communicate these to customers when working in a market store location. -Provide gener
