A well-established landscaping company is immediately looking for an experienced Small Engine Repair Technician to join their team at an outdoor power equipment branch in Burnaby BC.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Technicians will be responsible for in-shop diagnosing repairing and maintaining a variety of outdoor power equipment used in residential and commercial landscaping and garden care.
You will service equipment such as lawnmowers zero-turn mowers chainsaws trimmers leaf blowers snow blowers generators and other small-engine equipment.
The technicians responsibility is to perform routine maintenance tune-ups engine repairs electrical diagnostics and component replacements to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
The successful candidate must have a good working knowledge of electrical systems and be comfortable working with the growing range of battery-powered outdoor equipment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 23 years of experience as a Small Engine Repair Technician Outdoor Power Equipment Technician or in a related mechanical repair field
- Experience diagnosing repairing and maintaining small engines and outdoor power equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience with two-stroke and four-stroke engines is highly preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently
- Strong attention to detail organization and problem-solving skills
- Positive communication and customer service skills
- Vocational training in outdoor power equipment repair or a related field is an asset
- Experience with battery-powered equipment is an asset
- Basic hydraulic experience is preferred but not required
COMPENSATION:
- Hourly rate of $35$45/hour based on experience and qualifications
