As our Civil Superintendent youll lead day-to-day construction activities enforce safety and quality standards and partner closely with project managers subcontractors and clients to drive projects across the finish line - on time on budget and with the craftsmanship our reputation depends on.
- Continuously monitor project budget and forecasting to the individual phase code level and cost type for potential gains and losses
- Provide leadership and direction for all project activities and tasks ensuring project outcomes are delivered successfully and in compliance with all contracts and client needs
- Ensure clear communication of project-specific roles and responsibilities for all site personnel. Provide regular and respectful feedback for all under your direction
- Monitor company equipment and supplies to ensure the needed equipment is where its required.
- Inspect tools and equipment and notify the Tools and Equipment Manager for service and repair as needed
- Pitch in hands-on when needed including night shifts or extended hours to overcome challenges and meet critical milestones
Qualifications :
You bring grit accountability and an entrepreneurial mindset to every project. You thrive in a hands-on environment solving problems on the fly and building trust through transparent respectful communication - even when the pressures on.
- 15 years experience as a Superintendent for a general contractor on critical infrastructure projects
- Proven track record managing projects valued between $5M and $50M
- Background in Municipal Infrastructure (water wastewater conveyence and treatment bridge etc.) projects is required
- Journeyman trade certification or equivalent field experience
- Able and willing to travel and work across the Lower Mainland Vancouver Island and Fraser Valley
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
