Opportunity

The Journeyperson is responsible for supporting the is responsible for installing, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC/R equipment while providing exceptional customer service.

Essential responsibilities of the Journeyperson include but are not limited to:

· Represent Nova Star in a qualified, courteous and customer service-oriented manner on each and every call, acting as an ambassador for our company.

· Install and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.

· Preventative maintenance of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, as well as accessories, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications.

· Perform diagnoses and repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.





· Accurately complete required paperwork for each job.

· Assist and mentor junior technicians and aid in their professional development.

· Ensure compliance with provincial legislation and regulations, as well as company polices surrounding conduct and health and safety.

· Other duties as required to ensure the proper operation of the business.

About You

· Background in a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trade.

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Mechanical Certifications are considered an asset but are not required

· Valid driver’s license.

· Exceptional customer service skills.

· Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic and Licensed B Gas Fitter.

· Valid driver’s license.

· Exceptional customer service skills.

· Previous experience with grocery store refrigeration equipment would be considered an asset.

· Eager to work on a variety of HVAC/R equipment, and willing to take the initiative to learn new systems.
