We are looking for a warm, caring, reliable and engaging nanny to join our family and care for our two children: our son (2.5 years old) and daughter (1 year old) at the start of the position. We are hoping to find someone who genuinely loves working with young children and enjoys being actively involved in their daily routines, development and activities. Ideally, we would love someone who brings creativity, energy and initiative to the role and creates a fun, stimulating and nurturing setting for both children. I will be working from home, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a household where a parent is present but can independently take responsibility for the children's care and daily activities. Schedule & Start Date
* Ideal start date: July 2027.
* We would like to begin a gradual transition in May/June 2027, allowing the nanny and children to get to know each other and build a comfortable relationship before increasing the hours.
* Anticipated schedule: 3 days per week, approximately 6-7 hours per day (18-21 hours per week).
* Some flexibility with days and hours would be appreciated. Responsibilities
* Provide attentive, loving and nurturing care for both children.
* Plan and organize age-appropriate activities that support their development, creativity and learning.
* Engage the children in activities such as arts and crafts, drawing, painting, singing, dancing, music, reading, sensory play and imaginative play.
* Encourage outdoor activities, walks, nature exploration and physical movement.
* Support the children's daily routines, including meals, naps and playtime.
* Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks and assist with feeding both children as needed.
* Encourage language development, independence, curiosity and age-appropriate developmental milestones.
* Keep children's play areas, toys and activity spaces tidy.
* Take initiative in planning activities and creating a stimulating daily routine. Ideal Candidate




* Previous experience caring for toddlers and young children, ideally with experience looking after two children simultaneously.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (child and infant CPR preferred).
* Additional childcare qualifications, such as an Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma, Montessori training or relevant child development courses, are a big plus.
* Creative, proactive and genuinely passionate about early childhood development.
* Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and developmental milestones.
* Patient, dependable, organized, energetic and nurturing.
* Comfortable taking initiative and independently managing the children's care while a parent works from home.
* Legally authorized to work in Canada.
* Professional references from previous families available. Compensation $25/hour, with consideration for experience and qualifications. A Special Bonus Our children are being raised bilingual in German and English. Speaking German or Italian would be a wonderful bonus We would love someone who can naturally incorporate either language into everyday interactions, conversations, songs, stories and play. German would be particularly appreciated to help reinforce our children's bilingual upbringing.
