Support patient-centered laboratory services with LifeLabs as a part time Float Lab Patient Technician. Use communication, computer, and collection skills.

You will guide patients through specimen collection, confirm required information, and prepare specimens for testing and transportation. Responsibilities include medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, clinical trials, ECG tracings, and holter monitor support. You will also complete data entry and respond to client inquiries. Various shifts and a Saturday rotation from 8:00 to 12:30 are required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Request patient demographics and requisition information
- Confirm patients follow necessary testing protocols
- Complete special collections and related documentation




- Perform ECG tracings and holter monitor procedures
- Respond to client inquiries and follow requests

Requirements:

- Approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent preferred
- Strong customer and patient service abilities
- Excellent communication skills in stressful situations
- Positive computer skills with 40 wpm minimum
- Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
