This position focuses on accurate prescription information, patient care data, and medication dispensing. You will also support third-party adjudication, pharmacy inventory control, customer pickup, and over-the-counter enquiries. When enquiries require professional guidance, you will refer patients to the Pharmacist. Pharmacy Assistant experience is an asset, and the qualifications emphasize detail orientation, organization, communication, customer service, and proficient computer or data entry skills. Scheduling flexibility is required for a variety of hours, potentially including days, evenings, night shifts, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm prescription details before filling patient prescriptions
- Process patient care information through data entry
- Support accurate dispensing of prescription medications
- Maintain stock using pharmacy inventory control systems
- Answer OTC enquiries and direct patients to the Pharmacist
Requirements:
- Previous Pharmacy Assistant experience is an asset
