Prepare nourishing meals at Cogir Senior Living using large quantity food preparation and therapeutic diet experience. Serve residents, guests, and employees with care.

Reporting to the Culinary Manager, the Cook prepares and delivers all foods for a retirement residence. The position requires menu review, standardized recipes, protected handling, and special diet knowledge. You will support meal service for residents, guests, and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review menus and production sheets before preparing meals
- Prepare and serve attractive meals within scheduled service times
- Complete temperature audits for fridges, freezers, and storerooms
- Prepare therapeutic and specialty diets according to planned menus
- Follow recipes, production charts, menus, and set budgets

Requirements:

- Food Handler’s Certificate
- Experience preparing large quantities of food
- Knowledge of special and therapeutic diets
- Knowledge of Provincial Food Premises Regulation
- Ability to lift heavy, hot items and stand during shifts
