Valard Construction seeks Journeyperson Powerline Technicians for unionized worksites in the Kitchener and Waterloo area. Reporting to the Construction Foreman, you will construct and maintain electrical power distribution systems. The work includes energized operations, underground installations, system switching, and crew support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install overhead and underground power distribution equipment
- Maintain poles, towers, guy wires, and conductors
- Perform energized system switching and live line procedures
- Complete underground cable testing and terminations
- Mentor apprentices and support safety documentation
Requirements:
- Journeyperson Powerline Technician 434A or Red Seal
- Experience in utility construction and power distribution
- Experience with energized work and underground installations
- Class 4 Rubber Glove experience
- Valid driver's licence and acceptable driver's abstract
