We are hiring a Business Analytics Intern for one of our clients in Canada. We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical individuals who are interested in transforming business data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of business processes, data analysis, reporting, and data visualisation, along with the ability to support data-driven business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, organise, validate, and analyse business data from multiple sources.
- Perform detailed business analysis to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Analyse key business metrics and performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate organisational performance.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, business reports, and data visualisations.
- Interpret complex datasets and translate findings into meaningful business insights.
- Monitor business performance and prepare periodic analytical reports for management.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend assessments.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend data-driven solutions to improve business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and analytical objectives.
- Assist in developing business strategies through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Perform variance analysis to identify differences between actual and expected business performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
- Analyse customer behaviour, business trends, and market performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.




- Work with databases and business intelligence tools to extract, transform, and interpret relevant information.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and analytical outputs.
- Document analytical processes, business requirements, and reporting methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong understanding of business analytics and fundamental business concepts.
- Knowledge of data analysis, interpretation, and reporting techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
- Familiarity with SQL and database querying.
- Understanding of business intelligence and data visualisation concepts.
- Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for dashboard development and reporting.
- Ability to analyse datasets and identify meaningful business insights.
- Understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance measurement.
- Robust analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present data-driven findings in a clear and structured manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple analytical tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on business analytics, market research, or data analysis projects.




- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and statistical applications.
- Understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, and predictive analytics.
- Knowledge of business process modelling and optimisation techniques.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and other business management systems.
- Understanding of financial analysis, revenue forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Experience creating interactive dashboards and management reports.
- Knowledge of data storytelling and business intelligence practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Understanding of business strategy, operational performance, and market research.
