Role Description The Data SRE Platform role is a full time remote position responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms and related services. Day-to-day activities include monitoring systems and infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving incidents, implementing automation for deployment and operations, and improving observability through logging, metrics, and alerts. The role involves collaborating with software engineers, data engineers, and system administrators to design resilient architectures, optimize resource usage, and maintain security and compliance standards.





This position also includes creating documentation, conducting post-incident reviews, and continuously refining processes to reduce downtime and improve overall platform stability.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Site Reliability Engineering, including reliability best practices, observability, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and incident response for complex, distributed systems and data platforms.
- Experience in Software Development (e.g., Python, Go, or similar) for building tools, automation scripts, and integrations.
- Solid background in System Administration for Linux/Unix environments and management of production systems.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure concepts, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers, orchestration, and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in distributed teams, and a focus on inclusive, respectful teamwork.
- Experience with data platforms (e.g., databases, data warehouses, streaming systems) is a plus.
