In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming dining experience while supporting residents’ comfort, dignity, and nutritional needs.

Role Description The Dietary Aide role is a part-time, on-site position based in Markham, ON, supporting the delivery of secure, enjoyable dining experiences for residents. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with food preparation under established guidelines, portioning and plating meals, and ensuring accurate meal delivery based on resident preferences and dietary requirements. This role also involves providing courteous food service in dining areas, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dishwashing stations, and following infection control and food safety standards.

Dietary

Aides collaborate with care and kitchen teams to support resident satisfaction,



efficiently use Continyou Care’s digital tools, and help track resident feedback related to meals.

Qualifications

- Food preparation and nutrition skills, with the ability to follow dietary guidelines and special diets.
- Food service and customer service skills to support a positive, respectful resident dining experience.
- Dishwashing and general kitchen sanitation skills, with attention to infection control and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities when working with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in senior living, healthcare food services, or hospitality is an asset.
- Knowledge of basic food safety regulations; food handler certification is preferred.
