About the Position

LiUNA Station Banquet & Convention Centre is seeking an experienced, professional, and service-oriented Dining Room Supervisor to join our hospitality team.

The Dining Room Supervisor plays an essential role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the successful execution of weddings, corporate functions, banquets, and special events.

This position is responsible for overseeing dining room operations, supervising service staff, coordinating with the kitchen team, and ensuring every event runs smoothly from setup to completion.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee dining room operations before, during, and after events to ensure exceptional service standards.
- Supervise, coordinate, and support dining room staff throughout event service.
- Inspect event setups to ensure rooms are prepared according to event requirements and client expectations.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate timely and efficient food service.
- Provide direction, training, and motivation to service staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Respond professionally and efficiently to guest requests, concerns, and complaints.
- Monitor service quality and proactively address operational needs throughout events.
- Maintain a welcoming, qualified, and guest-focused atmosphere.
- Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Operations Manager, independently addressing operational challenges and staff or guest concerns.
- Ensure all events are executed to LiUNA Station's standards of hospitality and excellence.

Qualifications & Experience




- Previous banquet hall/convention center serving experience is required.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in banquet facilities, convention centers, is required. Minimum 2 years experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, friendly, dependable, and punctual.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, support, and respectfully lead a team.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Scheduling & Physical Requirements
- Part time position with flexible scheduling based on event requirements.
- Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including shifts of 10 hours or longer.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs.
